Over 20 Years of Nurturing Potential
Crowies Place CC began with a simple passion — caring for children and helping them grow into confident, capable individuals.
Founded by Sharon Crowie, Crowies Place started as a small home-based childcare environment built on trust, care, and genuine love for children. With a background in Early Childhood Development and years of experience working with young learners, Sharon discovered that her calling was not only to care for children, but to nurture their development.
What began as helping a few neighbourhood families gradually grew through word of mouth into the trusted aftercare centre it is today.
Today, Crowies Place CC supports children from Grade 1 to Grade 7, providing a structured and caring environment where children can complete homework, develop life skills, and grow emotionally and socially.

Meet Sharon Crowie
At the heart of Crowies Place CC is Sharon Crowie, whose passion for children and commitment to their wellbeing has shaped the centre from the very beginning.
With years of experience working with children and a deep understanding of their emotional and developmental needs, Sharon leads Crowies Place with compassion, patience, and dedication.
Her vision has always been to create a place where children feel safe, valued, and supported — a place where learning is encouraged, friendships are built, and every child is treated with care and respect.

Adrian Crowie
As co-owner of Crowies Place CC, Adrian plays a key role in the overall management and success of the centre. In addition to helping guide the vision and growth of the business, he oversees the accounting and financial operations, ensuring that the centre runs efficiently and sustainably. Adrian’s dedication behind the scenes helps provide the stability and resources the team needs to create a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for every child.
Manageress Lazanne Yon
As Manageress, Lazanne helps oversee the daily operations at Crowies Place CC and supports the team in maintaining a structured and nurturing environment for the children. She works closely with staff and families to ensure that the centre runs smoothly and that every child receives the care, attention, and support they need.
Teacher Renette
Teacher Renette plays an important role in supporting children with their daily homework and learning activities. With patience and encouragement, she helps learners stay focused, develop good study habits, and grow in confidence as they work through their school tasks. Her calm and supportive approach helps create a positive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and improving their understanding.
Assistant Nolubabalo
Nolubabalo assists the team in caring for the children and ensuring that daily routines run smoothly. She helps supervise activities, supports learners during homework time, and helps maintain a safe and organised environment. Her warm and friendly presence helps children feel comfortable and supported throughout their time at Crowies Place.
